change i can believe in

not once during his eight years in office did our last president apologize for or even admit to making a mistake.

tonight, after fifteen days in office, our current president said: "i screwed up."

humility.
how's that for a change?

The thing is, Obama didn't screw up. His vetting team did, and Daschle certainly did. But Obama's the President, and he steps up to take responsibility. An amazing change, indeed, from eight years during which the "president" not only didn't accept responsibility but actually threw other people under the bus.

i'm watching obama with a combination of hope and relief. i think we're witnessing the growth of a great president.
