that funny old rnc!

good, light-hearted, political parody? or a racially charged mis-step? you decide.

  1. Well, it's a little puzzling to think that a candidate for RNC leadership thinks this is a way to win friends and influence the undecided within his own party. Is his message, "I'm in touch with the 'dittoheads'", or is it "I'm a funny guy"? Are either of those the basis upon which conservatives want to elect a party leader?

Certainly, this prefaces a possible discussion of what is acceptable parody, satire, humour and criticism of a sitting president who has an inherent characteristic (his skin color) that has previously been a debatable basis for such treatment by commentators/comedians who do not also share that characteristic.
